San Joaquin Country Club proudly boasts an active Women’s Golf Association that includes nearly 100 members of all skill levels. The WGA hosts events throughout the year that provide members with an opportunity to play in a variety of formats from social and fun, to competitive team or individual play. As its bylaws state, the purpose of the WGA is to ‘promote fellowship and sociability. The WGA takes that mission seriously so no matter what your handicap, there is always a game for you!
As a member of the WGA, you are welcome and encouraged to play in as many tournaments as your schedule allows. Not only are they fun events, but tournaments are also a great way to meet fellow members and play new formats. Most of the WGA tournaments take place on Tuesday or Thursday and typically start between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and conclude after lunch. Participants are encouraged to stay through lunch, which is a fun time to visit with fellow members and celebrate the winners. Handicaps are factored into all tournaments which means golfers of all levels have an opportunity to win. Note that your annual WGA dues include entry into most tournaments below. Additional costs for breakfast, snacks and lunch are noted on tournament flyers.
